Poetry and a Musical

                                          The Starlit Sea
                                          ----------------------
The moon shines softly o'er the sea tonight
With stars aglow like lanterns bright
Earth and Sea, Stars and Sky,
Meet in a symphony of peace and light.

That was a poem that I wrote today. It is my first poem. Hopefully there will be more later, but for now I hope you enjoyed that one.

Now I would like to tell you about my family. I probably should have done that in my first post but I forgot so I am doing it now.

I come from a large homeschooling family with seven children. It is a lot of fun but sometimes it is a bit noisy with all of my siblings. I will give you a brief introduction to my brothers and sisters.

Benjamin is the oldest. He is nearly 28. He likes Star Wars and fine food.

Greg is the second oldest. At 20 years old he is the most popular of us and he enjoys acting and playing the ukulele. His favorite musical is Les Miserable.

Then there's me. I'm 18.

My younger brother David is the next oldest. He's only 16, but he's already taller than me. He likes flying planes in Civil Air Patrol and impressing people with his yo yo skills.

Eileen would be our next oldest. She died as a baby when I was 6, but in her short life she manged to capture the hearts of everyone she came in contact with. She intercedes for us in heaven as our little saint.

Joseph is the second youngest at the age of 12 but despite being deaf is probably the smartest of all of us. He loves history, video games and legos and recently finished reading the Lord of the Rings.

At 9 years old, Isabel is the youngest. She is social and outgoing and enjoys playing with her American Girl dolls, sewing, and doing art projects. She is probably better than any one else in the family at art.

Speaking of Artsy things, last night I saw the movie La La Land. I won't say much about it in case you have not yet seen it, but I will say that it was beautiful, ethereal and dreamlike and I definitely would recommend it if you like artistic films or musicals.

Well, that wraps up this post. Please do comment and let me know what you think. Au Revoir.
